Trump's desire to erect monuments glorifying his tenure in office are misplaced to say the least. Perhaps instead, we should erect monuments celebrating the lack there-of.
He's started a war with Iran and there's no off - ramp. He's upset the world economy.
He's driving our own economy to the brink. He's closed down too many departments the country relies on to function properly. He's shutting down any criticism from the left and right. He's upset his own Republican party and yet, while acknowledging his corrosive effect on the country, they cannot summon the courage to stand against him.
The list goes on and there's not much to celebrate.
Perhaps the enclosed monument is the only one appropriate to his time in office.
